Christophe Poly is of Greek and French origins. He and his parents immigrated to Canada when he was 8 years old. He inherited an interest in the arts from his mother, a clothing designer and teacher, but it was his entrepreneur father who provided him with the drive and ambition to use his skill to build concrete items. When his mother taught him to sew, he designed his own clothes. When he learned carpentry he built his own furniture. After auditing courses in engineering and architecture, he used his skills to create jewellery, first for others and now for himself. A course at the École de Joaillerie et Métaux d?art de Montreal (E.J.M.A.M.) helped perfect his work.
