We are Irene and Melanie: a mother-daughter team using our heritage for creative inspiration. “Sim’ya” means “family” in Ukrainian. We make our art on real, hollow eggs, using melted beeswax and dyes. This art form is called “Pysanky” and our family has been creating these for five generations. We are proud to continue our family’s artistic legacy.
