MINI BIO
Mathew Nuqingaq is a master jeweller, metal artist, sculptor, drum dancer, actor, photographer, educator and owner of the Aayuraa Studio in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Here, he designs and produces his own creations as well as welcoming other local and visiting artists to work at one of his studio’s benches. In 2017, he received The Order of Canada for his work in promoting Inuit Arts and mentoring aspiring and emerging artists.
