Artisan Profile

My name is Karen, the maker and creator behind dog gone gear. Alongside my dog and model Clark, we handmake dog collars, bandanas and bow ties, as well as custom designed and individually created shirts for dog lovers. Every single item is made by me in our Stouffville, Ontario home.

We started out business at the height of COVID during a lockdown. Clark was sick with a tooth infection, and drooling uncontrollably. Do deal with his drool I dressed him in my own buffs and bandanas. He was so cute, and he loved wearing them. After he was well, I went in search of dog specific bandanas. I didn't love what I found, so I decided to try out my sewing skills from over 30 years ago, and poof: dog gone gear started!

You can shop with us at markets mostly in Ontario, but we have started to venture into other areas of Canada. We also have our own website www.doggonegear.ca and you can shop online with us and purchases can be shipped anywhere in North America.
