The mushroom ink drawing featured in one of our most popular instagram reels, ready to be framed. This piece was inspired by a mushroom that had popped up beneath the birch tree in my back yard.

This piece started with a hand drawn pen and ink tree, one that I stumbled across one day in a local provincial park. It had the biggest, gnarliest burl and I thought it looked so, so cool and instantly was curious what they heck causes this? Well in short, trauma, trauma causes these wild unique features. Much like us, the tree had something happen to it, it adapted and now its stoping me in my tacks to admire the amazing being it has become. This piece is a paring of the artwork and the thoughts it inspired in me and I hope you connect with it, I hope it reminds you that just like the tree you are one of a kind and jaw dropping gorgeous, inside and out.
