Artisan Profile

I'm Fathima Safna a hand embroidery artist who creates intricate designs on textiles. I'm based
in Toronto’s Thorncliffe Park community, and is originally from Colombo, Sri Lanka. My
passion for embroidery began at a young age, where I was inspired by her Mother and
her surrounding culture. Balancing her career and motherhood, she’s a proud mother to three
energetic children who fill my life with joy and inspiration. I believe their vivid imagination
and creativity continuously fuel my artistic journey. Amid the bustle of school drop offs and
bedtime stories, I find peace in my cozy home studio, where I bring my visions to life,
one thread at a time.
