Kristin is a lifelong people-watcher and armchair cultural observer. She loves human faces, and human stories, and the stories we tell about the most famous faces.
In her art practice,Kristin takes in figures of celebrity and pop-culture, and reimagines them, playing with our popular understanding of who they are. What if one thing was different? (What if The Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie was an Olympian?) She loves to create a sense of surprise or a laugh, putting a well-known icon in a previously unimagined light.
