Lyon Roberts-Scarlett is a Toronto blacksmith and founder of Oldboy Metal Co., where traditional forging meets modern storytelling. Each knife and tool is hand-forged and finished with reclaimed skateboard veneer handles, blending urban grit with old-world craft. Lyon’s work celebrates the magic and weight of community. One forged as much around the dinner table as one formed around the fire.

Hand-forged in Toronto from a reclaimed German farrier’s rasp, this high-carbon steel blade carries the ghosts of a working life before it ever met the cutting board. The handle, made from reclaimed skateboard veneer, adds a burst of colour and story to every piece. Balanced and enduring, it’s a blade born of craft and community made to serve, share, and last.

Hand-forged in Toronto from 1095 high-carbon steel, this compact cleaver brings precision and attitude to the cutting board. The handle, made from reclaimed skateboard veneer, carries the colour and motion of its past life. Designed for balance and bite, it’s a blade that turns utility into ritual. Born in the forge, made for the feast.
