Artisan Profile

Natalie Makletzoff is a lifelong artist who began drawing at age four, later studying figure drawing with Group of Seven instructor Rowley Murphy. She earned Fine Arts and Education degrees from Seneca College and York University, where her talent was recognized early on. After moving to the Northwest Territories, she balanced her art with raising a family and working as an Adult Educator. Now painting full-time, she draws inspiration from the northern landscape and has received multiple NWT Arts Council and SEED grants. Her work has been showcased at the Great Northern Arts Festival, 47th Street Art Gallery, and the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre. Natalie also teaches painting and exhibits locally through events like Handmade and Ramble & Ride. She sells her artwork online and in stores throughout Yellowknife.
