Margot Roi is a Canadian abstract artist based in Muskoka, Ontario, whose career spans over 35 years. Her work is a vibrant intersection of fine art and textile design, characterized by an intuitive exploration of colour, texture, and the "memory of place”.
 
Originally from Dundas, Ontario, Roi earned an Arts and Technology degree in Fabric Design from Sheridan College, followed by an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Windsor. This background in textiles continues to influence her work through her bold use of pattern and layered compositions.
