Showing credence to the strength and agility of a most beloved animal to so many. Their ability to glide over heights with such power and grace always amazes me. I wanted to display that capability with a clean jump and the rider maintaining a gentle control.

The Arizona Salt Rive wild mustangs have intrigued me for some time. After taking a trip there and walking among them, I have an immense respect for them and their conservation. This painting shows a hot lazy day where the water brings moments of reprieve from the heat.

My art explores the deep, unspoken connection between strength and grace, resilience and vulnerability—qualities that define both femininity and the world of equestrianism. The bond between rider and horse is one of trust, perseverance, and an unyielding spirit, mirroring the journey of the feminine experience. Each piece captures the raw beauty of the sport—the soaring exhilaration of a perfect jump, the quiet determination in moments of struggle, and the bruises and falls that serve as reminders of resilience. Just as femininity is often shaped by both triumph and adversity, so too is the relationship between horse and rider, built on patience, courage, and unwavering commitment.
