Artisan Profile

Jen Lipski is a multidisciplinary Canadian Artist with diverse body of work. She began her career as a traditional wildlife painter, but unexpectedly discovered her passion for blacksmithing while studying Art at OCAD University. Her love for the timeless elegance of ironwork and the rich history of the craft lifted her artwork off of the canvas and into the sculptural realm. Her unique body of work ranges from expressively detailed portraits of animals burned and carved into wood, to sculpted natural designs and functional items crafted from hand-forged steel. Within each of her designs she seeks to capture the essence of the wilderness and explore our collective place within it
