Artisan Profile

My name is Carola Sánchez, I’m a self taught jeweller originally from Chile.
My work consists in crocheting jewelry using recycled precious metals, trying to evolve the textile knowledge that I had and applying those techniques into metal.
I began this journey after realizing how empty I was feeling after leaving everything behind in my country, so I had the urge of not to lose myself too. I am an artisan and I always will be no matter where I am.
I want to make pieces that show the beauty of simplicity, and assuring that I am creating something for you to treasure without hurting our environment.
With a focus on quality craftsmanship and timeless design, each of my pieces brings the beauty of simplicity to the wearer. Using recycled metals, every Caro Sanchez pieces are made individually by hand in my home studio in Toronto where I live with my family.
