Artisan Profile

Studio Junco is the passion project of award-winning illustrator and graphic designer Isabel Hughes. Blending Isabel's lifelong love of nature with her passion for all things print, Studio Junco is a small-batch stationery brand with a focus on local flora and fauna. Named after the dark-eyed junco, a perennial 'snowbird' in backyards across Canada, Studio Junco's cute, heartfelt designs span a variety of stationery products and merchandise, including greeting cards, fine art prints, vinyl stickers, magnets, and tote bags.

All Studio Junco products are illustrated and designed by Isabel and produced in her home studio or with help from local production partners in the Toronto area.

Beyond her work under the Studio Junco name, Isabel focuses on natural science and medical illustration, as well as branding design for businesses across Ontario.
