Stationery
Evil Llama and Friends is a quirky and witty stationery and gift-goods company based in Toronto, ON. Featuring a cast of snarky cartoon animals, each with a backstory of their own, we're all about things cute and colourful, with a bit of sass. Our collection includes originally illustrated greeting cards, notepads, stickers, and enamel pins. Woman-owned and BIPOC, we're 100% evil, 100% hand-drawn!
A Drawing and Painting graduate of OCAD University, my designs are inspired by observing absurd animal behaviour during my travels to some of the wildest, most remote parts of the world, including Antarctica and the Amazon. I can happily sit and watch animals act weird for hours, then turn their antics into cute cartoons that remind us it's okay to feel a little messy, moody, or mildly unhinged. By turning these drawings into everyday use items, my goal is to make people laugh, smile, or roll their eyes (ideally all three) while helping them feel a little more seen and a little less alone.
Evil Llama and Friends was the winner of the 2023 VistaPrint New in Business Award, and finalist for the 2024 and 2025 Louie Awards (that's basically the Oscars of the greeting card industry!). The brand has also been featured in Gift Beat, Stationery Trends, and InStore Magazine.
